Journey to the Sun: ISRO’s Aditya L1 Mission Promises Unprecedented Discoveries!

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has officially stated that the preparations for the upcoming Aditya L1 launch are progressing smoothly, and all systems are on track for liftoff from the Sriharikota spaceport on the 2nd of September. Aditya L1 will be India’s first mission to study the Sun from space. It will go around a point called Lagrange point 1 (L1), about 1.5 million km away from Earth in the Sun-Earth system. This special orbit will give a continuous view of the Sun without any disruptions.

The spacecraft has seven tools to study different parts of the Sun using things like sensors, detectors, and analyzers. Four tools will look at the Sun directly, while the other three will study particles and fields at the Lagrange point L1. This mission will help us understand how the Sun’s activity affects space weather in real-time.
